About the Program
Becoming part of a Travel or an AAU Travel Team, is one of the other pillars of the CMEK Program. We offer a variety of teams, with games throughout the state and practices in desired towns. We have teams for many different ages and skill levels. Each team is coached by one of our experienced coaches. That coach will be your child’s coach for all games & practices for that season.
We have Travel and AAU Travel Teams for Boys & Girls Grades 1 – High School that participate in various leagues. If you are a first-time player, it is important you ask how scheduling works prior to enrolling and making your payment which confirms your spot (please read our policy agreement).
How Are Teams Formed?
AAU Teams are formed in a few different ways.
- Same School, Same Town, Same Grade…Same Team: Groups of kids who go to the same school or are from the same town and are in the same grade, are usually put on the same team (unless skill level varies)
- Individuals Come For Tryouts: If you want to join an AAU team as an individual, that is perfectly fine! Prior to the season, come to one of our tryouts. The Fee to tryout is $35. After that, based on your age & skill level, we will find the perfect team for you.
- Already Play Together? Form Your Own Team: Some groups have been playing together for a while, and want to come in to the program as their own team. Here’s how to do that.
- Step 1: Form a team of no more than 10 children
- Step 2: Select your practice location, time slot, & dates that work for your schedule
- Step 3: Call Chad to finalize details
Pricing
- AAU Travel: $795 includes a combination of 18 practices and games, and 8 skills sessions
- Travel: $595: Includes 10 practices and 8 games
- Tournaments: Extra, or sometimes replaces league games
- League and Tournament venues charge admission; separate fee that is not included in sign-up
